    Hello, I've got a Verizon 8x. Today I was listening to music quite loudly with my earbuds, received a text message and it about blew my eardrums out.

    The iPhones and Androids I been around mute the music a little when receiving emails or text messages. Does anyone know if this feature is available on the 8x?

    Same has happened to me! I always just turn the ringer off. Its the only solution as far as I know.
