Hey All,
Is anyone else having problems with your HTC 8X losing connection when using Internet sharing over WiFi? I have a MacBook Pro 15" retina and a Verizon HTC 8X, that can connect for a few minutes then it loses the connection. I can re-connect, but within a few minutes I notice my Mac is searching for networks again.
I still have my HTC Radar T-mobile, and that stays connected with no problems.
Curious to know if anyone else has encountered this.
Thanks,

I share my Internet with my ipad at work and unless I reboot the ipad I get the same intermittent connection. If I reboot the ipad then it works perfectly for hours. I'm using the ipad right now via Internet sharing on my HTC 8X and I've been on it for 55 minutes without any dropouts. It seems to be the initial connection is a bit iffy. One reboot and its good to go.

thanks for the comments guys. I find it odd that when I Internet Share with my HTC Radar, I never had any problems. Seems like a reboot of the ipad, or in my case my MacBP is the wrong device that should be rebooted ;-)... The HTC Radar was bullet proof with both my Cyanomod'ed Nook, and my MBpro.
Seems like the 8X stays connected better when bluetooth is turned off. I know this is anecdotal, but I am hoping some other folks can make some more similar observations so we can get this addressed by Verizon, MS or HTC.
Thanks,

just a heads up in case I forget to update it. The VzWireless rep had me enable roaming (for some reason ) on the phone . Apparently that allows you to connect to Sprint and other non-Verizon towers . So far the Wifi has been up for about 15 m. He's created a ticket for me, I will let y'all know when I have more data.

Thanks for the reply, but I think if the connection is being used, the internet sharing stays on. Also, its not consistent, some times the connection stays up for an hour, other times, its drops in less than 1 minute.
I am familiar with the internet sharing "shut-down" if no devices are active, I had a windows 7 phone that did this as well, but it never lost connection.. Fact is that I can re-connect to the SSID, is still active, just that periodically the wifi connection gets lost.
I have put in a ticket with Verizon last week, but I've yet to receive a call back from their escalation support.
Thanks,
Kyle
