    Anyone try it or buy it for the htc 8x? I tried it at verizon, but it would only charge my phone (and through the otterbox case I have on mine). NFC didn't seem to work and I couldn't find it in the Bluetooth settings.

    The HTC 8X pairs via NFC to the JBL PowerUp just fine as I just did it myself (BT off on phone, 'Tap and Send' on--tapping PowerUp asks to pair and turns on BT to do so).

    Streaming works very well.

    FYI, NFC is called 'Tap + Send' in Settings on Windows Phone 8.
