So today I've been using my 8X today playing some Angry Birds and browsing the web. No texting or calling today. I've had it unplugged from the charger for 5 hours and it says my battery is already at 40%. Is this normal? How has your battery life been on your guys's 8X's?

Mine's been a bit meh to be honest. Been playing a lot of angry birds too :P

Haven't had it last a day yet, though to be fair i haven't stopped fiddling with it, so we'll see. I'm also not sure whether it's entirely accurate with its reporting or if it's still calibrating.

The battery is fairly weak. I think it had an idle power drain issue, mine seems to lose around 15% in 7 hours overnight.

My Android phone uses no more than 5%.

I suspect the screen is also the culprit here very much as it is on the One X which has similar screen technology.

12% in a night while sleeping??? How is that bad?? Thaw pretty good to me. U people are never satisfied lol. Charge ur phone while u sleep fellas. Not a big deal, in a 10 hour work day that's 15% calm down and just be excited, way too critical these days. Its just a phone damn

I think this may be to do with the way the phone uses wifi / data.

If it had wifi constantly enabled rather than 3G it would use less battery as wifi radios tend to use less than 3G etc.

I read that Microsoft are working on an update for this, so fingers crossed.

I believe android keeps wifi constant.
