I haven't used the 920 so I'm not sure. But from what I've heard, yes. Although I've read that nokia are sending an update out for the 920 for day shots.

There was nothing in the reviews of this phone that mentioned this and their test shots did not show this effect. This is not a minor defect here. I am concerned that this is a production model defect that was not present in the test models sent out for review.

Engadget shots...scroll until you find the night shots. No glowing or beams of light.

The pics are decent. Seems to be some sort of bloom effect going on where the sun is hitting the buildings.

Those pics look like screenshos from a video game with bloom and HDR effects. That is kinda cool, but will get old and silly pretty quickly. Can the camera be switched back to serious mode?

Hmm, the skydrive pics don't look so good. Quite a few out of focus or blurred pics and low light pics seem not too useful?

One I took last night, the rest this morning on my way to work.

Basically in the day, the camera is good at night it's rubbish.

Are you planning to return it and try a new 8X before you give up on it or you are planning to go ahead with this phone

I think I might take it back today. It's restarting loads, Kindle doesn't work, the low light shots are rubbish.

I'm not sure if I'll get a replacement or give the 920 a go (if they have any). Might just get a refund and wait for a while.

Just like the 920, pretty average quality.. but sufficient for most user cases.

I almost bought Halo4... but I realized I was doing it because I like to spend money. I enjoy call of duty and that's it.

You should post up some gameplay... might change my mind.

Haha no that's not bangers and mash. Bangers and mash is sausages with mashed potatoes. That (Sausage, Bacon, Eggs, Beans, toast) is a traditional English breakfast. And it looks delicious!

I just started it on Legendary its a cracking game am a big Halo fan, I will try get some gameplay uploaded I did actually manage to set up my 8X to record some gameplay unfortunately when I uploaded to skydrive 1080p looks more like 240p :( will have to try something else hmmm.
