Hi guys, does anyone know if TMO version 8x will be LTE futureproof like GSN2? I really want 8X for my next phone, but just little concerned that I might be stuck with HSPA+ 42 for another 2 years when T-Mobile finally rolls out their LTE next year. Thanks in advance!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but from what I heard they'll be rolling out LTE on their 1700/2100 bands (next year) and use their 1900 for 3G.

I would assume that all TMo's flag ship devices are going to, but in reality 2 years from now TMo still isn't going to have much of an LTE presence anyway they don't have the resources to light up LTE networks like AT&T or Verizon. You would probably be better off just hoping they improve the HSPA in your area

If you afe worried about the future get the Note 2. The Note 3 will come out in a year while the next improved HTC provably will be in a couple of months.

If LTE is important to you then don't take chances.

So nobody know if T Mobile's HTC 8X version is "LTE future proof"?

I found this article doing some research but I think it only applies for UK. Hopefully this is not the same with T-Mobile's 8X version.

Nokia Lumia 920 vs HTC 8X - WP8 flagships do battle! - "The Lumia 920 is definitely ‘future-proof’ and 4G-ready whilst the HTC 8X sadly lacks this functionality. Nokia Lumia 920 definitely wins here."

Same here; HTC Windows Phone 8X by HTC review | Expert Reviews

It seems the UK HTC 8X version is not LTE future-proof :(
Is the T-Mobile's US HTC 8X version same as EE's UK HTC 8X version? Anyone?
