I started with a sony erricson X1 with windows 6.5, fantastic phone i could do everything with it, so after the microphone died i was forced to buy a Android X8,
So when it was time for a upgrade and i saw the HTC 8s looks fantastic so decided on that.
I thought I could put my tomtom back on to my 8s, and all my other apps that i wanted onto the SD card but no.
Totaly crap Cant acces the root to delete the crap ringtones and text notification tones to make space put my music onto the SD card and some of my ringtones NO, another fault that i cant use.
I DO like the look of wm8 but it's too restrictive, tried to download the maps for satnav NO i would have to take all the 5 games off and everything else i could to install it NO.
If someone said to me they were after a WM8 phone i would say go but a Android, and i hate and despise Android.
Another thing When i boutght the 8s i asked about battery life, they said its great lasts a long time, In truth it is crap, got to charge everyday, the X1 would last ages.
I cant wait until someone sorts this crap windows softwear out.
Totaly useless

Everything you said was wrong. You can delete pre installed ringtones, you can download Nokia drive for navigation. The battery life is great and you can't access the root. who the **** does that?
From the way you talk and accused "windows mobile 8"? Lol you shouldn't be touching anything in root folders.
Take a deep breath and watch the Microsoft videos on YouTube so you can find out how to use the phone instead of whining and complaining about lies.Thanked by: - 02-07-2013, 09:00 AM #5
I've needed to charge my smartphones daily as long as I've used smartphones. It was necessary on Nokia Symbian, BlackBerry and Windows Phone.
The last time I was able to go more than a day without charging was back when I used feature phones.--Laura Knotek (formerly known as lak611)

I think the bigger question here is, WHY did you not just return the thing if you hate it that much? One would think that you would have a pretty good idea of what it could and couldn't do after two weeks. Just sayin....

Do your research before buying a phone, and if you know enough, you'd know that the 8S only has 4GB of internal memory, more than half is taken by OS and stuff.
& you should also know that apps cannot be installed on the SD card..
And it's Windows Phone 8, not Mobile..
Just sayin'.. - 02-07-2013, 09:53 AM #9
So you bought a low end Windows Phone with the expectations that you could install all your favorite Windows Mobile 6.5 apps and now you're disappointed that two different operating systems aren't backward compatible and that the low end phone that you bought doesn't have enough memory to install the apps you want? Got'cha.

Serious troll is serious.
I cannot believe what I just read in the OP's post.
