I wouldn't go with the surface only because of the 4-5 hour battery life on the pro model. The helix tablet is supposed to get the same amount but with the dock I think its supposed to get like 7-8 hours, so if price is no issue, cause lets be honest, a 1500$ starting price is a little on the high side, I would go with the helix. Otherwise, the surface pro at 899$ is a pretty good deal. I would also check out the Acer iconia w700 as that is currently my favorite windows 8 inte core-series tablet that gets like a 6 hour battery life and its built well with a 750$ or 699$ on sale price tag.
