According to this article, the Surface is being made by Microsoft as an example for other manufacturers to follow and it will not continue to produce them once other manufacturers are on board and making Win8 tablets...

Ya, that was just the opinion of the founder of Acer, not MS's official position. I think he is wrong. Xbox is a huge money maker for MS. Surface has the potential to be much more Xbox than it is Zune.
