I think at the end of the day, it comes down to if you're the "underdog" or not. Before the Iphone, Apple was on the bottom, and they had to push, "innovate", and just dig deep to think of something amazing for customers to go too. Now they are on top arguably, fat, and happy. Though you can make a case that Android is making a push to steal their thunder, so Apple better get to innovating again.

Microsoft has definitely become the underdog, and like Apple before them, they are the ones who have to think outside the box to make themselves relevant.

I just enjoy showing the "boring" Microsoft stuff that blows people away, while they look wistfully at their Apple stuff that looks the same as it did five years ago and costs a lot more. :)
