Has anyone has an issue with wireless charging failing? My three month old 820 has stopped charging wirelessly. A little brass nib under the cover has come out which is the problem. Expansys has cited user damage and won't repair it. All I've done is change the the cover maybe once a week. Really disappointed. I'd love some feedback.

My experience has improved dramatically , First it was bad because I was tied to Apple Eco system and no more syncing from iTunes made it worse.Slowly I started looking at the device and explored things.I encountered other storage issue but it became better after I reset device and put skydrive off.I also sorted out ways to get better battery while not disturbing my work flow.

As of Now , I would give the experience 8/10 and if MS fixes bugs/other storage and fix camera focus algorithms (Pics are coming great but focusing is pain) , I would rate this device 9/10.

Waiting for Amber Update.

aunt's 820 which she recently bought doesn't seem to last very long when data is enabled. with it disabled it is fine, but that's sort of pointless unless she is always near a wifi hotspot. she would have to charge it twice a day at the rate it seems to drain. it' also drains rather drastically while connected to data during non use and is just idle/locked in her bag/pocket. she hasn't installed any apps yet. any recommendations for either a battery that doesn't seem to drain as fast regardless of its capacity or just a reliable higher capacity battery that hopefully doesn't need a larger back plate (as I want to eventually get her as a gift the wireless charging backplate and a wireless charger)? she likes the phone otherwise but the battery seems to be an issue. thanks for the help

edit: or do you think she should exchange it due to possible faulty hardware(radio)/battery?

Now after a long search into different forums I finally made the decision between 820 and 720 and I got the 820 and I would say that "This is an awesome Windows Phone" and how did I said That here are my Points for That (I'll break

Screen - I would say that it is an amoled display which gives you oversaturated colors which looks appealing for almost everybody and I mean that's the beauty of Windows Phone since WP7 that those tiles really helps disguise lower res screen/s and look like its a 720p display even its just 480p display

Hardware - Now this were the 820 and 920 shines (sorry for 720-520 but they look awesome!) if you are playing lot of games or multitasking a lot you will love this Phone and with the efficiency of Windows Phone also loved 512 mb devices you will also not notice that's it is a 512mb device (ehem! android)

Camera - I would say camera on this one is also pretty good and I mean that has been a reputation of almost all nokia phones since the beginning of camera on phones
spoilerI would post camera samples in the coming days maybe tomorrow

Battery - On this guy I got around 2 days and a half that's to moderate to heavy usage with games and internet and music and if your buying this phone you maybe also tempt to buy those wireless charging pads for easier charging ( but smartphone battery is still based on what the user is doing (RIGHT!!!!) )

now that's what I like about The Lumia 820 and here is what I really don't like about it :unhappysweat:

Front Facing camera - it really looks horrible I mean if you are on a sunlight or an extremely good light you would have a great time taking some "selfies" but Skype looks alright !!!

But with that down side overall this phone I will rate around 9/10

Other Pros that I don't include:
-call quality is great
-Speaker volume is pretty loud but don't get around 30/30 coz it will sound like all voice and no more treble

If you are looking for Windows Phone with high-end specs and Future Proof no doubt with 4g LTE good camera performer and a great ! build quality no doubt You are in for a Lumia 820 Treat !!!!
Drop in your comment's below for any questions or any violent reactions :grincry::grin:

Hi guys.,

My first post here..

I just managed to dump 36000 Photos on the SD card and shoved it into the Lumia 820

Free space was around 4 gigs on phone storage

I opened the Photos in the gallery and went to "dates" and then i saw an accent colored status bar progressing. I still could not see all the pictures because i was guessing they were getting indexed.. I left the phone for charging and woke up today to see that there was a storage outage.. my Phone storage filled up to 7,4 gigs so i removed the SD card and the phone storage was still 100% for about 10 mins and it dropped to 99 in about 4 hours and then no movement.. the Phone storage was just full and i had to reset my phone.. good i had uploaded photos to skydrive.

Just shoved the same SD card into my s3 and no such thing happened.. aand i was able to browse through ALL the photos without troubles.. MSFT needs to hear this

Well, I am now to the point where I feel that I have made a huge mistake in using my ATT upgrade on a Lumia 820. I really wrestled with choosing between the 920 and the 820. Because I like to have a lot of music on my phone I chose the 820 because of the SD card and the ability to have additional storage for music. I knew I was going to be giving up gorilla glass, a better camera, and ultimately lots of choices for accessories.

I now realize it was a foolish mistake. I would gladly trade my 820 in for a 920 in a heartbeat. I really feel that I was sold something that did not exist. Does anyone have an e-mail of any execs at Nokia that I can complain/State my case to?

Hello everyone - I have a Nokia Lumia 820 on Vodafone, and I am really struggling with trying to get my MMS sorted out as I can't receive or send.

I've spoken to Vodafone, they couldn't help me much but suggested I joined the Vodafone forum with my query - I did that - and someone wrote back asking that I post it to their customer services - I did that - someone got back to me, and I did as he asked - in turning phone off and taking SIM out and putting it all back. But it takes a day or two inbetween our messages because I get the usual standard reply email before he then emails me back!

I'm still no further in finding out what is wrong - can anyone help here at all please, PLEASE?!!!

HI Guys,

I purchased a new Lumia 820 from Hong Kong. The phone is unlocked but has Chinese firmware. I am saying this because When I go to the Windows Store, its in Chinese language. I have checked the language and regional settings in the Setting and they all show it's English India, but when I connect to the store to purchase any app or install apps, its in Chinese language. Kindly help.

I tried contacting Microsoft support and they told me that the phone has chinese firmware and hence needs to be taken to the Windows Support in India from Nokia. Is there a way to change the firmware of the phon. The following details are available for the phone
Name Lumia 820
Type: RM-826
