Its been a headache since (from cutting the Fullsized Sim to fit in a micro... Had recently got an unlocked Focus 2, I decied to try Straight Talk. Its been a headache since (from cutting the Fullsized Sim to fit in a micro slot) to setting up the APN correctly. I notice on the focus 2 there are multiple areas to enter the straight talk info. There's the (Cellular) tile that has its own APN option, Then there's the Wireless manager from samsung with an APN option. I enter the info in both, because I have no idea which is the correct one.

I can make calls and text, but in the indicator icons at the top of the phone I get what seems like 3-4 bars that always fluctuate and a Single "G" its not 3G or 4G just...G. No idea what the hell it even means. You try typing "what does G mean?" in google lol. Any help would be appreciated. I would tell you what my Speed-test results are to see if its normal. but I can assume With the net is so Slow that the speedtest errors out, its not a good sign.

I don't think that my question is specific to the model of my phone (Lumia 820), but I have a question regarding the locking of the device.

I have my lock time set to 30 minutes which suits me, but if I want to manually lock the device before that time I don't see to be able to...i.e. if I don't want the kids picking it up and playing with it...

I wondered if anyone knew a way around this, or if it's down to the OS or something?....hopefully is just me missing the obvious ;-)

I also had my 3g or HSPA (to be precise) on, but that has never affected me before so im assuming
It was all down to the camera :)

I have a Samsung Focus Flash running Windows Phone 7.5 (will soon hack up to 7.8). I have a DNS based web filter in place at my residence. If I open Bing Search at any time on my Windows Phone, it will not load anything on the Bing App. Web, Images, and Local, all of them have an error. I think this must be because of my web filter. I can unblock the URLs that Bing uses so it can work. What URLs does Bing search in Windows Phone 7.5 use?


I know that the WiFi is working because the marketplace loads and Internet Explorer is loading the URLs but not if I search from there because it uses Bing. To sidestep this, is there another search engine I can use when I hit the search button (I would prefer Bing, but if all else fails, I would settle for anything else just for my phone to be able search).
Any suggestions or comments are highly appreciated.

I run a local sports team and I send a few texts out to groups to notify players that they have been selected. I occasionally get a complaint, usually from an iphone user that they have received the text 10 or more times. Is this a problem with my lumia 800 (on EE UK, fully updated), or is it an iphone issue? I'd quite like to blame them!
