OK,
I'm getting interested in writing my own app for WP8 on my L810. I'm not interested at selling the app (right now), just want it on my phone.
I know I need to be running W8 on my PC to install WP8 dev tools. The question I have, is what hoops do I have to jump through to eventually get my app on my phone? Do I really need to spend $99 to register as a developer?iPhone 3G

Unfortunately to load these apps on to your phone by means of sideloading (which is the term used to denote apps that are installed without using the WP Store) you will either need to pay the $99 or jailbreak your device by other means. I personally paid the £65 (I use GBP as I'm in the UK) so that I can then distribute my app once completed.
