    Hi,

I made a app recently and I'd like to quickly present the result of my work:

Ever wondered where you took all your great photos? Or want to know where one specific photo was shot? No problem with GeoPhoto!

    Main features:
    - view all your geotagged pictures on HERE maps
    - automatic grouping of pictures
    - view your pictures location directly from photo-hub (Edit -> GeoPhoto)
    - possibility to hide pictures(e.g. because of wrong/inaccurate geodata)

    *PLEASE NOTE*
    - location recording has to be active while shooting photos in order to see those images placed on the map
    - if pictures are showed at wrong/inaccurate positions, this is an issue of the built-in photo app, not GeoPhoto!!!

GeoPhoto | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)

Maybe some of you like it.

I had this feature on Symbian two years ago! We still haven't got live traffic updates on Here Drive which was also on Symbian two years ago. I came to Windows because of the slick user experience and it's great, I like it but I am shocked as to how far it is behind a dead platform.

PS. Great app, good work. Thanks for picking up the slack from Nokia!

Could you pleaaaaase send me some pics displayed in Russia which have been taken in canada?? So I can have a look if it is a bug in the app or the geodata in the pictures are just wrong?
    partl@outlook.com

If the gps data in the picture is wrong, you can hide pictures since todays update.

Great app and works very well ... but it would be nice to to look a full size photo (of a certain location) and then to have chance to continue looking photos of that location in the full size (previous / next) ...

    thank you!
full size view is already possible as you surely figured out already, "scrolling" though full size pictures is on my ToDo now, same with zooming in full size photos. Scrolling might be a little difficult because of picture loading times but we'll see.

Oh dear! I just tested it and you're right! At the moment, only pictures at locations with positive latitude and longitude are correctly shown :(
Updated and already submitted, hopefully will be available next week!

App has just been updated, now also works for negative latitude and longitude (so no problems in the US any more).

GeoPhoto | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)

If you already downloaded the app, you have to reinstall the app because geolocations are cached!
If pictures are still displayed wrongly, try deleting the app and install it again.

    As always, comments/criticism/ratings are appreciated!

Could you add a rescan option (rebuild cache) ? ... it seems that you can do it now only by reinstalling app.

How about saving location for the photos that have missing geotags ? - well, I am not sure is it possible at all, but it would be really great, as the most of us have photos with the missing geotags.

About a date that is seen by your app for a photo (below a pic and in a pic info page), it should use an original date (picture taken date / EXIF date), not created or modified date ...

This will be a bit more difficult but it is on my todo list now and I will probably come back to it

I'll have a look on this. I definitely want to show the date the picture was taken there

Update with many bugfixes and improvements is now live.

Next thing I will have a look on is editing existing geotags and adding geotags to pictures.

By the way, is it slower now to launch as before ? - it is like checking all pics again when launching it - I think the first versions did not do that (maybe info was cached)

If you have only some photos, it does not really matter ... but when you have 2000 - 3000 photos, then it matters ... :(

EDIT: it seems that this new 1.6 version is faster ... great, thanks :)

Saving geotags do not work for me. I tried to 2 photos, but it did not save geotags for them (even it said: "saved successfully") ... anyway, you have done great job - once it works :P

Well thats not good :) Normally the old, edited picture should become hidden and the new one should appear on the map.
What exactly does not work? Does the edited picture show up at the same, old position? Or does it not show up at all?
