Wpcentral posted an article that the Dvp got 7.8, but didn't say which models. Are they only the unlocked models, or what? Because my AT&T dell venue pro says no updates found. I doubt it will get it, but I might be wrong.

I've only read that all but AT&T was upgraded, sort of like all the HD7's getting it except T-Mobile.

Mine is an unlocked T-mobile Dell Venue Pro here in Bay Area. No update notification yet!

The issue that concerns me about the manual update indicated above is that the instructions in the instructions.txt file call for phone Reset that wipes out All the data in the phone. I wonder the owners that did the manual update did a Reset on their phone!!! A standard push update from the carrier or phone manufacturer usually retains all of the user data during the update process.
